It’s true, postpartum life isn’t always easy — but she’s figuring it out. Real Housewives of Orange County alum Gretchen Rossi told Life & Style exclusively about how she’s managing while attending Victoria’s Voice presented by the Victoria Siegel Foundation and Greenspoon Marder LLP at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Believe it or not, a little at-home help and a natural remedy did the trick for the new mama after giving birth to her first daughter, Skylar Grey.

One thing that really changed the reality star‘s postpartum world was CBD, which she tried after having hesitations about taking prescription drugs for her postpartum concerns. “Two days, I felt like a completely different person and drastically changed me,” the 41-year-old gushed exclusively about the natural remedy. “I mean, I honestly was flabbergasted, how amazing the products helped me.”

Luckily, she found a great support system in the treatment, which has helped with her postpartum struggles. “It’s so hard. Honestly, I had no idea it was that hard and I think that’s why I got bad postpartum. I was really struggling because it was culture shock for me. I had no idea how much my life was going to change. I knew it was going to be hard,” the blonde beauty explained. “I just didn’t realize it was going to be that hard and I didn’t have help. I didn’t have help. I was like, ‘No, I can do this. I can do it on my own.’ We just got help this last week and I’m like, thank God. I can work again and feel like I’m human again.”

According to Gretch, the addition of a part-time babysitter really made things a lot easier for the busy mama and her fiancé, Slade Smiley — but she wished she just would’ve enlisted some external support a little sooner.

“I think, for every person, it’s just so different. But, I wish that somebody had really encouraged me to have help, more. Because I didn’t get to have maternity leave. I’m my own business owner and so I had to keep working and I was trying to do it all,” she revealed. “I was trying to take care of the baby. I was trying to work and in my brain, thought that I could just be superwoman and do it all.”

Don’t worry, she’s realizing now that moms can have it all … you just have to be willing to compromise. “I think you can have it all, just at different times. I was trying to do it all at once and I think that’s what led to a lot of the postpartum,” Gretchen said. “So, I wish that somebody had told me, it’s okay to have help and you’re not a bad mom and you’re not a failure for having help, you know? Just for me to have a little bit easier of a transition, I think.”

Looks like she’s got this mama thing under control.
